I decided I wanted to be better about blogging this year. I no longer have the excuse that I have a newborn (hello Mr. Almost a year-and-a-half!) but so far I've been a dud. I kept feeling overwhelmed with trying to blog everything I missed (like, maybe, Christmas) and then my card reader wasn't working (thanks for fixing it, love) so now I'm really far behind and instead of playing catch-up for the holidays I'm just going to skip 'em.
I hope you enjoy some of the random goodness we've had going on here at our house.
Wyatt's TOTALLY obsessed with the tie Melinda and Stephen gave him for Christmas.
(Obsessed I tell ya!)
Oh ya, and he seems to like the breast pump as well...
Preston has the most amazing eyes and a dang cute smile, if I do say so myself!
Wa-wy is the king troublemaker. Oh man is this kid fun!
Last week Nate and his ever present assistant (that would be Preston) took down the fence in our yard.
Long, long ago, we are told, it housed an above ground pool.
And, as if Nate wasn't productive enough last week, he also took out a few dead trees that adorned our yard.
Wyatt's looking a little concerned about the job Colin's doing.
Hello there, Mr. Manly Man! There is something undeniably sexy about a man chopping wood. Some sort of primal instinct that says, "This man can keep me alive. And he will too!"
I love that Colin is not only Nate's brother but one of his very best friends.
(We love you Colin!)
Oh, and I swear Wyatt said, "unca co'in" on this day...even if no one else heard it and everyone thinks I'm making it up.
And today we made sure to go "walkin'" (as we call it) since the forecast proclaims rain (!?!PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!?!) for Thursday.
Gotta soak up that sun and get our wiggles out, if ya know what I mean!
Two friendly kitties.
A block of wood.
And some pretty roses.
And an uncharacteristically cranky Wy-wy.
Twas a good day, I say.

6 Little Notes:
Yay! I've checked your blog so often for updates. I believe the "Unca Colin" story, as Tamsin can say "Auntie Keetie" clear as a bell. If you accept "Keetie" as an acceptable pronunciation, that is. I've been sick and thus a rotten blogger in the last week or so as well. I ask myself, do people want to hear about sinus infections and two days of no hot water and buying a poster for the girls' room? Um...probably not.
I love how much of a little man Preston is, so eager to help Dad. I'm really privileged to get to see Preston and Little Monkey growing up. Oh, and I really didn't help with the tree, I mainly just posed with an axe and pretended to look strapping.
I love all of your pictures and posts. We are so lucky to live near you and to share so many fun moments (which luckily do not all involve wielding axes!)
My favorite line from this post was "Some sort of primal instinct that says, "This man can keep me alive. And he will too!"
I love you and miss you all!
he does have a pretty dang cute smile, although he looks more like he's giving a sad bottom lip sticking out thing in that pix rather than a smile.
