FOUR! (well, almost)

Today we celebrated Preston's birthday.  Nate works weekends and Miss Violet's birthday party is tomorrow so today was our day.

Preston was so cute this morning.  He came into our room and said, "MOM!  Did you do all that for me?"  He is such a fun kid.  I love how exciting the world is to him at this age.  I love that he can anticipate things in such a good way.

Nate found a police powerwheels car on clearance a few weeks ago.  I think it is the most excited I have seen him about anything.  EVER.  He even called his mom just to tell her about it.  It was all I could do to keep him from giving Pres his present early.

I think Wy is just as excited as Preston is about the car.  The battery has to charge for 24 hours so the thing didn't even move yet so I can only imagine what tomorrow will be like.

I tried to keep the party simple.  We ate papa Murphy's pizza, fresh fruit and veggies (courtesy of nana Linda), planted peas (gardening is a new love of Preston's {just like his mama!}), opened presents, ate cake and enjoyed the wonderful company.

Nana Lori looked as excited as Preston was!

Pres went to a birthday party a few months ago where they had an AWESOME dinosaur cake (complete with a rice crispy meteor to render the dinosaurs extinct) so Pres really wanted a dinosaur.  Mine may not be noteworthy but it did taste pretty good.

Isn't he the cutest!?!

 Post Party wreckage:
This was my favorite birthday party yet.  Pres is at the funnest age.  I love that we have so much family close.  I love that my best friend has kids the same age as my kid.
And most of all I LOVE my kid!
