Mister Wyatt turned three on the 20th. We celebrated with our friends/neighbors and family and had a grand ol' time. Wyatt was showered with generous gifts from some of the people he loves and I think this poor middle child really relished the attention being all on him.
Wyatt is an amazing kid. He was the most un-two year old I've ever met. (Apparently three is the new two, though, for this kid. Suddenly he is mister defiant. Eek!) He was nearly always agreeable about just about everything. He's sweet and fun and easy going. He's independent but loves playing with his brother or friends as well. He's always good for a snuggle and always has a special twinkle in his eye. I just wish I knew what that magical twinkle meant. What is your secret, my Wy-wy? Please, do tell.
Wyatt requested a Mickey Mouse party so I attempted to deliver. We colored mickey mouse pictures (let's be honest. No one really colored the pictures. They were too busy playing.),
A little pin the nose on Mickey action.
(Thanks to my neighbor who thought to bust out the camera and take some pictures for me!)
Nana got in on the action too.
And the cake was adorned with Oreo Mickey Mouse's.
And don't forget the all-important Mickey crown. I didn't get a good picture of it but you get the idea.
And a few quick pictures of his actual birthday. Nate had to work (only one more week of night-shift for Nate. Can I get a woot! woot!) so me and the boys went to Chick-fil-a (per Wyatt's request) for dinner then picked up a box of Crispy Cremes to stick the candles in to. We rounded out the night with a viewing of "Kung Fu Panda: 2" and snuggling on the couch. It was a mighty fine day, if you ask me.
Man, I love this boy!
